Trauma Risk Management (TRiM) Australia
Building Resilience | Protecting Futures
» Our Story

At TRiM Australia, our journey began with a mission to address a critical gap in trauma support services across the Asia-Pacific region. Founded by Tony Ward, a military veteran with over a decade of experience in Trauma Risk Management (TRiM) and a deep personal understanding of trauma and recovery, the organisation was born out of both professional expertise and lived experience.
Tony’s military career exposed him to the realities of trauma and the long-term impact it has on mental health and resilience. His personal recovery journey—through PTSD and accumulated trauma—fostered a passion for creating a support system that blends empathy, authenticity, and evidence-based practices. Recognising the need for a structured, peer-led trauma response framework, Tony established TRiM Australia to deliver training and support tailored to high-risk sectors and communities.
Since our founding, TRiM Australia has grown into the leading provider of TRiM training and services across the region. We are a 100% veteran-owned organisation, with many of our staff having direct experience of trauma. This lived experience shapes everything we do, enabling us to offer trauma management solutions that truly resonate with those we serve. Our team is dedicated to empowering organisations to build resilience, mitigate risk, and prioritise mental well-being through a proactive and compassionate approach.
At TRiM Australia, we’re more than a service provider—we’re a trusted partner on the journey to recovery, resilience, and sustainable well-being. We stand with those who serve others in times of crisis, equipping them with the tools to navigate trauma and emerge stronger.
